Ryssland har för första gången gett grönt ljus för en norsk gastanker att ta genvägen över Nordostpassagen till Asien, meddelar Norges Rederiforbund.Det tar hälften så lång tid än att åka via Suezkanalen, och dessutom undviker man somaliska pirater. Norge säljer bland annat naturgas från Snøhvit-fältet till Japan.

A fear that fish might jump 100 meters across dry land, has made Norwegian authorities deny the Norwegian-Russian fish farming company Kirkenes Charr a license to set up a butchery. This will probably mean the end for the company and millions of NOK in losses for the Russian and Norwegian investors.

Norwegian gas from the Snøhvit gas field outside Hammerfest can for the first time be shipped through the Northeast Passage this summer.
